YOU...

  • support the development of certification and airworthiness strategies for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) within the EASA Specific Category, taking SORA, SAIL, Operational Safety Objectives, and applicable Means of Compliance into account
  • derive, analyze, and structure certification and compliance requirements based on regulatory frameworks, authority publications, guidance material, and project-specific assumptions
  • create and maintain compliance checklists, OSO matrices, Statements of Compliance, technical dossiers, and other airworthiness-related documentation
  • prepare authority-ready compliance evidence packages by linking requirements, Means of Compliance, verification results, technical documentation, and compliance arguments
  • support SORA-based operational approval activities by consolidating technical, operational, and safety-related inputs
  • coordinate and review compliance contributions together with engineering, maintenance, and design teams
  • collaborate closely with systems engineering, safety, avionics, flight test, maintenance, and design teams to ensure regulatory requirements are reflected in specifications, architectures, verification plans, and project documentation
  • support configuration management and change control activities while ensuring traceability across requirements, design data, verification evidence, and certification documentation

YOU...

  • hold a degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
  • bring hands-on experience in airworthiness, certification, systems engineering, safety engineering, continuing airworthiness, or a related technical environment
  • are familiar with aviation regulatory frameworks and compliance processes, ideally including EASA Open, Specific, and Certified Categories, SORA, Operational Safety Objectives, Regulations (EU) 2019/947 and 2019/945, associated AMC/GM, SC Light-UAS Medium Risk and High Risk, EASA Part 21, and applicable Means of Compliance
  • have a solid understanding of requirements engineering, compliance verification, configuration management, change control, and traceability
  • are confident in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and have experience with structured documentation, document control, and version management
  • ideally have experience with Git, SharePoint, or comparable documentation and collaboration tools
  • ideally have worked with Polarion, Siemens Teamcenter, or similar requirements management and PLM systems
  • possess excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are considered an advantage
